CANADUS HD-1224
Technology That Works While You Charge
Advanced battery reconditioning technology designed to reduce sulfation, extend battery service life and improve the reliability of the entire electrical system.

Learn how CANADUS HD-1224 uses advanced pulsed technology during charging to reduce sulfation and help restore and maintain battery performance.
CANADUS HD-1224 uses high-frequency pulse technology to help reduce the build-up of lead sulfate crystals on the battery plates – one of the main causes of declining performance in lead-acid batteries.
The system operates whenever the battery is being charged and applies controlled electrical pulses to help reduce sulfation and maintain the active plate surface. This supports better charge acceptance, battery capacity and overall battery performance.
CANADUS does not replace the vehicle’s charging system or battery charger. It works alongside the existing charging source – whether the battery is being charged by the vehicle’s alternator or generator during operation, by an external battery charger while parked, or by a permanently installed/on-board charging system.
Once installed, CANADUS operates automatically whenever sufficient charging voltage is present – regardless of whether that charging voltage is supplied by the vehicle or by an external charger.
-
CANADUS HD-1224 is designed to operate automatically whenever the battery system is receiving sufficient charging voltage. No switching, programming or manual activation is required.
During normal vehicle or equipment operation, the unit becomes active when the alternator or generator raises the system voltage above the activation threshold. It continues its battery reconditioning process for as long as the required charging conditions are present.
The same applies when the vehicle or equipment is parked and connected to an external charger. CANADUS also operates with permanently installed or on-board charging systems, making it suitable for equipment that relies primarily or entirely on external charging.
The charging source does not determine the operation of CANADUS – the available battery voltage does. Whenever the required activation voltage is reached, the system operates automatically.

Discover how improved battery condition can extend battery life, increase reliability, reduce charging-system wear and lower overall operating and maintenance costs.CANADUS HD-1224 is designed to improve the performance and service life of lead-acid batteries while supporting the reliability of the entire electrical system.
By helping to reduce sulfation and maintain the active surface of the battery plates, CANADUS can improve charge acceptance and help extend battery service life. A healthier battery also places less unnecessary demand on the charging system, helping to reduce strain on components such as alternators and generators.
Improved battery condition contributes to more reliable starting and electrical performance. For vehicles, machinery and equipment where reliability is critical, this can help reduce unexpected battery-related failures, maintenance requirements and costly downtime.
Extending battery service life also has a direct economic benefit. Fewer premature battery replacements, reduced downtime and potentially lower wear on charging-system components can contribute to lower operating and maintenance costs over the lifetime of the equipment.
There is also an important environmental benefit. Extending the useful life of existing batteries reduces the frequency of battery replacement. This means fewer batteries need to be manufactured, transported and recycled, helping reduce material consumption, waste and the environmental impact associated with premature battery replacement.

CANADUS HD-1224 is designed to operate across a 12V or 24V battery section. A single unit can also be used with up to eight 12V Group 31 batteries when connected in parallel.
For battery banks with a total system voltage above 24V, multiple HD-1224 units can be used by dividing the battery bank into individual 12V or 24V sections. For example, a 48V system consisting of eight 6V batteries connected in series can be divided into two 24V sections of four batteries each, with one CANADUS HD-1224 connected across each 24V section.
This allows CANADUS technology to be applied to higher-voltage battery systems while keeping each HD-1224 within its specified operating voltage range.
