Rather than allowing the experience, relationships and market knowledge built through more than three decades of Kleven Trading to fade away, 2026 marked the beginning of a new chapter.

Tangen Tech was established by Morten Juel Tangen to preserve the strong foundation Jens Petter had built – while continuing to develop and expand the business. The established work with Canadus Power Systems continues, while Tangen Tech builds on a broader portfolio of battery technology, batteries and professional charging solutions for the Nordic market.

For Jens Petter, the establishment of Tangen Tech has also brought something new. After several years of reduced activity, becoming involved with Tangen Tech has helped reignite both his enthusiasm and passion for the products and the industry he has been part of since 1992.

He therefore remains an important part of the journey, contributing his extensive experience, product knowledge and long-standing network. At the same time, Tangen Tech continues to move forward with new products, new partnerships and ambitions for the future.

This is not about starting over. It is about building on what has already been created – and carrying more than 30 years of experience into the next chapter.

A new company – built on a solid foundation.

In 1992, Jens Petter Kleven began selling Megapulse, marking the start of more than three decades of work in battery technology. Over the years, he sold more than 100,000 Megapulse units and built Kleven Trading on practical expertise, personal relationships and a strong commitment to battery technology.

Through close cooperation with customers, dealers and manufacturers, Kleven Trading established a strong position in the Nordic market. Later, Canadus Power Systems became an important part of the business and a natural continuation of the experience and network Jens Petter had built over many years.

Following the pandemic, activity at Kleven Trading was significantly reduced, and the business entered a quieter period. But the story was not going to end there.

As the plans for Tangen Tech began to take shape in 2026, the enthusiasm for the products and their possibilities was reignited. More than 30 years of experience, knowledge and relationships were not going to be left behind – they would live on through a new company and a new generation.

This is where Tangen Tech begins.
